Private Group Class: Herbal Medicine Making
Private Group Class: Herbal Medicine Making
In this day workshop, Herbalist and LMT Erin Vanhee teaches how to capture the art and science of crafting plants into remedies. This fast-paced class will cover how to make (and when to make) infusions, decoctions, vinegars, and tinctures.
Medicine Making follows the ancient tradition of using plants as nourishment and medicine. Our explorations include traditional herbal remedies for the season, focusing on remedies that support rejuvenation (Spring and Summer,) or immune system boosting (Fall and Winter.) We will learn how to integrate herbal medicine into not only our medicine cabinets but also our meals. Students will leave with skills to last a lifetime, as well as their own medicines to take home.
No previous experience with plants necessary; this class is appropriate for beginner to advanced herbal students.
Class instruction runs 4.5-5 hours, this class requires additional materials supplied by the students.
