Herbal Medicine making is easy once you know how- Join us for this day class packed with herbal knowledge and take home ready to use Herbal Infused Wild Plant Salts, Herbal Syrups made from scratch and the ever popular Fresh plant Herbal Vinegar- sometimes known as Oxymel or Shrub.

These classic culinary/medicinal herbals are a simple and delicious way to integrate wild plants and herbs on to your kitchen table, in to your patio mocktail creations and can enhance any marinade, salad dressing or even a popcorn snack. Versatile, packed with micronutrients, unique flavours and hidden health benefits - All will be revealed in this fun, fast paced maker’s class.

Tuition is $79- includes all in person training, hand outs, all plants used in class. Students take home an Herbal Salt made from fresh wild plants, a herbal syrup and vinegar- all made in class - All plants and materials supplied for you.

Herbal Lotions Bars, Lip Balms and Aromatic Salts. Saturday May 16 2:00pm-5:00pm

Interested in making your own lip balm, lotions bars and aromatherapy salts? This day class will guide you through the basics on choosing your base oils, essential oils and crafting them in to products you take home with you to use immediately. Discover how simple it is to make your own products and gain insights in to the tricks of the trade for elevating their quality and effectiveness. Find out why not all lip balms are created equally, how to choose oils for lotion bars that are nourishing and hold their shape and the beauty and art of essential oils in salts.

All plants, materials, supplies are provided for you. Tuition is $79, you take home a lotion bar, lip balm and jar of Aromatic Earth and Sea Salts.

 
 

Making Herbal Folk Tinctures. Saturday, June 13, 2026 1:00-4:30pm

Herbal Medicine Making 101 is the art and science of making herbal folk tinctures. Herbal tinctures are the most common product used in herbal healing so why not make your own? Making Folk Tinctures takes the mystery out of the extraction process and is simple once you know how.
This class is hands on, all fresh plants and materials are provided for you. You take home a starter tincture with step by step instructions on how to complete the process at home.

This field-based herbal intensive includes exposure to diverse, beautiful harvesting environments around Skagit Valley and Camano Island, Washington. Each day class includes training in how to identify, harvest, and prepare wild plants in the wild,- Food and Medicine Making on the Fly!

About Erin Vanhee, Director of Herbal Studies and author of herbal curriculum for Trillium:

Erin Vanhee is a third generation Washingtonian with a strong connection to the wild plants and bio-regional herbs. She is a forest dwelling multi-disciplinary healer with thirty plus years following her destiny as herbalist.

 Erin’s classes are a reflection of her relationship with the wild and infuse encyclopedic knowledge of plants with a dash of wonder, humor and story.
