In some circles, Mugwort is known as Cronewort due her long standing stature in the ways of the wise woman and community of crones.

Mugwort is bitter and aromatic. Bitter plants act on our digestion and also on our nervous system- resetting us to rest and digest. The aromatics of the plant also act on our Nervous system. With Mugwort , we move from the sympathetic flight or fight alarm system to the para- sympathetic calm and neutral. What sets Mugwort apart from many other bitter tasting plants is the aromatics. The aromatics of Mugwort act on the part of our brain that allows us to feel safe and activates our dreams. This can be a dream while sleeping or an activation of what we dream of in our waking hours.

Mugwort grows on the seaside and riverside in the Pacific Northwest. We also grow Mugwort at the forest plant sanctuary. This batch was harvested in the peak of summer and was immediately a deep green and aromatic.
